Facebook is at a dangerous spot right now as usage explodes and accounts get flooded with invitations to new Facebook groups, networks, and applications. The remarkable adoption of the Facebook API created a deluge of applications that has no doubt increased the stickiness of Facebook. But it has also started to tick people off as the number of invitations starts to get out of control. Case in point, I was just invited to a group called “Stop sending me invites for useless facebook crap!!”

facebook is growing fast, in general the future of communication is in control of the social mobile networks. Their growing past each one attaacts a different audience, peekamo hit their audience on a more persoanl level through text, facebook is hitting everyone through pics, groups. Networking is now a business itself.

I wouldn’t mind so much if I could answer someone’s Question of the Day on their page without having to accept and install Question of the Day on MY page.

One of the reasons I prefer Facebook over Myspace is that the Facebook seemed simpler, less junky. Sadly, with all of the applications that are now emerging the two are becoming more alike in some ways. Keep the junk out.
